Certificates

We are pleased to state that ADLER Czech stock company meets the requirements of the QESMS integrated system standards without any exceptions. The company underwent several successive audits successfully and was granted certificates proving successful results of the certification process.

I shall briefly describe the new system and its basic elements. Taken together, the QESMS is comprised of:

  • Quality – ISO 9001:2008/2009,
  • The Environment – ISO 14001:2004/2005,
  • Security Management System OHSAS 18001:2008 – Occupational Health and Safety

Quality ISO 9001:2008/2009,

ISO 9001 is an international standard focusing on quality management, applicable to any organization involved in manufacturing and/or the provision of services.

ISO 9001 is based on eight quality management principles, which are essential for good business relations. If they are fully adopted, they can contribute significantly to improving the performance of an organization and can promote company’s success in a competitive environment. These are the following principles:

  • Customer focus - organizations depend on their customers, and that is why they need to adjust all their activities so that they fulfill customers’ requirements and expectations.
  • Leadership - it is necessary for ensuring a unity of purpose and direction.
  • Employees’ involvement – it enables the creation of a suitable environment so that all employees can entirely take part in the process of achieving organization’s goals.
  • Process approach – it ensures business goals achievement, resources and activities, which are necessary for optimal process management with understanding of their inputs and outputs and mutual interactions.
  • System approach to management – it is a systematic approach to organization’s key activities, which ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of its management.
  • Continual improvement - in everyday activities of an organization this principle application is a basic prerequisite for success in a very competitive market environment.
  • Factual approach to decision making - effective decisions are always made being based on the results of logical analyses of specific data and information.
  • Mutually beneficial business relations - only these sorts of relations can ensure the ability to create values that will satisfy all the parties involved.

EMS - The Environment – ISO 14001:2004/2005,

The Environmental Management System (EMS), according to the requirements of international ISO standards, represents a professional lifestyle in the entrepreneurial world and a clear representation to others about organization’s conception and approach regarding the environment.

EMS certification confirms that the owners and the management of an organization are not only aware of their responsibility regarding the environment but that they are willing to have the results of their activities confirmed by an independent audit and to show publicly that the principles of behaviour and approach towards the environment they are being guided by are the part of their business processes.

The ISO 14001 international standard focuses on environmental management and is designed to be applied in any organization without regard to its size, layout or nature. ISO 14001 is the part of a family of processes focusing on international standards rigorously based on Deming’s principle of PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act).

The identification of environmental aspects or activities that have an impact on the environment, their management and monitoring, and continual improvement are the requirements that the ISO 14001 standard sets for a company. If these EMS requirements are completely satisfied, there will be the following business advantages:

  • A clearly demonstrated approach and behaviour towards the environment that is conveyed to customers, investors, the public, the state and private institutions.
  • The achievement of full compliance with legislation and meeting all the requirements concerning the environment.
  • The disclosing of possible risks, discrepancies and accidents that could have a negative impact on the environment and the running of the organization.
  • An increased evidence of business credibility and trustworthiness among investors, banks and insurance companies (lower interest rates and premiums).
  • Cost saving as a result of the management/saving of material and energy inputs.
  • Funds saving because of a decreased amount of fines and other penalties paid for harming environmental impact.
  • The facilitation of acquiring permits and approvals for doing business in environmentally demanding and sensitive areas.

OHSAS 18001

Organizations in various business fields more and more often endeavour to prove to their shareholders, employees, customers, and other interested parties that they are able to fulfill specified obligations in the area of occupational health and safety (OHS) by managing safety aspects and risks systematically, and by prevention measures.

Stricter legislation, the development of management policies, increasing pressure on sustainable development, and growing interest in public welfare are the most obvious reasons for organizations to be more interested in getting OHS. The Occupational Health and Safety System, which is built, maintained and managed according to the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 international standard, is the optimal way to minimize risks in this area.

OHSAS 18001 is currently the most internationally recognized standard stipulating the requirements of OHS with the objective of minimizing risks while simultaneously increasing the performance of an organization. OHSAS 18001 is designed to be applied in any organization without regard to its size, layout or nature.

OHSAS 18001 certification means that an organization is aware of possible risks and that it systematically minimizes them, including the prediction of possible dangers arising out of extraordinary events.

If the requirements of OHSAS 18001 are fully satisfied, there will be the following benefits:

  • The achievement of full compliance with legislation.
  • A decrease in the risks of accidents and as a result time and financial losses minimizing.
  • The minimization of all possible risks due to a clearly stipulated emergency plan.
  • Clearly specified investment and business plans regarding OHS requirements.
  • An increased evidence of business credibility and trustworthiness among investors, banks and insurance companies (lower interest rates and premiums).
  • An improvement in relations with employees, unions, the public, and state institutions.
  • The elimination or limiting of costs caused by an unclear OHS management system organizational structure.
  • Funds saving because of a decreased amount of fines and other penalties.
  • Growing opportunities in the areas of export, state contracts and business support.
  • The overall improvement of the organization’s image.
