We are pleased to state that ADLER Czech stock company meets the requirements of the QESMS integrated system standards without any exceptions. The company underwent several successive audits successfully and was granted certificates proving successful results of the certification process.
I shall briefly describe the new system and its basic elements. Taken together, the QESMS is comprised of:
ISO 9001 is an international standard focusing on quality management, applicable to any organization involved in manufacturing and/or the provision of services.
ISO 9001 is based on eight quality management principles, which are essential for good business relations. If they are fully adopted, they can contribute significantly to improving the performance of an organization and can promote company’s success in a competitive environment. These are the following principles:
The Environmental Management System (EMS), according to the requirements of international ISO standards, represents a professional lifestyle in the entrepreneurial world and a clear representation to others about organization’s conception and approach regarding the environment.
EMS certification confirms that the owners and the management of an organization are not only aware of their responsibility regarding the environment but that they are willing to have the results of their activities confirmed by an independent audit and to show publicly that the principles of behaviour and approach towards the environment they are being guided by are the part of their business processes.
The ISO 14001 international standard focuses on environmental management and is designed to be applied in any organization without regard to its size, layout or nature. ISO 14001 is the part of a family of processes focusing on international standards rigorously based on Deming’s principle of PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act).
The identification of environmental aspects or activities that have an impact on the environment, their management and monitoring, and continual improvement are the requirements that the ISO 14001 standard sets for a company. If these EMS requirements are completely satisfied, there will be the following business advantages:
Organizations in various business fields more and more often endeavour to prove to their shareholders, employees, customers, and other interested parties that they are able to fulfill specified obligations in the area of occupational health and safety (OHS) by managing safety aspects and risks systematically, and by prevention measures.
Stricter legislation, the development of management policies, increasing pressure on sustainable development, and growing interest in public welfare are the most obvious reasons for organizations to be more interested in getting OHS. The Occupational Health and Safety System, which is built, maintained and managed according to the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 international standard, is the optimal way to minimize risks in this area.
OHSAS 18001 is currently the most internationally recognized standard stipulating the requirements of OHS with the objective of minimizing risks while simultaneously increasing the performance of an organization. OHSAS 18001 is designed to be applied in any organization without regard to its size, layout or nature.
OHSAS 18001 certification means that an organization is aware of possible risks and that it systematically minimizes them, including the prediction of possible dangers arising out of extraordinary events.
If the requirements of OHSAS 18001 are fully satisfied, there will be the following benefits:
